To develop on this, the theme for ANE next year is pretty much too good to ignore, so that’s the planned release for the anthology. I’ll hopefully be there in person to release the book as well!
You’re planning to release to coincide with Anthro New England?
That is the plan, yes.
Just a reminder: you have one more week left to submit to Claw the Way to Victory. There will be no more deadline extensions, so make sure you get your story in by then!
My only sport story involves eating at least one team mate. Plus, it’s being reprinted this year.
What sports are taken?
The taken sports are in the first post of the topic, I believe.
Oh, there’s only six taken.
I don’t think I have time for a short story… but I might be able to fit in a long one…
I’m a Non-Twittering Greymuzzle. does anyone know if BIATHLON is taken?
If it’s not in that list you quoted, it’s still fair game. Beyond what has been accepted, “dibs” are not valid.
I was able to finish a story for this collection. Going to take a day to review it and submit tomorrow.
After speaking with Jay, pre-orders for this title will open at RF, and I will be (hopefully) getting an Artist Alley table to sell pre-orders at, so you can either pre-order online or in person. There will be a pre-order discount as well.
Just a reminder that Claw the Way to Victory pre-orders will be opening at Rainfurrest. Here’s the finalized information for purchase:
The book will retail at $17.50. Those pre-ordering AT Rainfurrest or Furpocalypse will receive a 25% discount, bringing the cost to $13.12 (plus tax). Those pre-ordering at either of these conventions will also receive (on the spot) a color print of the book’s cover art (drawn by Pac, the artist behind the FBA - http://www.furaffinity.net/user/pac). If by some miracle we run out of prints, I will ship you a copy with your book.
Keep an eye on the @AnthroAquatic Twitter account for when pre-orders will happen. I’m looking to get a table in the Artist Alley on Saturday, from open-3:45pm (as I have to be at the Laika Dosha release at 4pm), as well HOPEFULLY on Sunday, the whole time Artist Alley is open.
We’re excited for Rainfurrest, and hope to see you there!
We’ll also be publicly be unveiling the cover art at Rainfurrest, so that’ll be your first chance to see the amazing work Pac has put in for it!
Fred Patton just posted a review of the anthology, and has some very positive things to say about it. Find the review here: http://dogpatch.press/2016/03/29/claw-the-way-to-victory/#more-25709
If you’d like to pick up a copy, and live in the US, we have the physical copies at 15% off (Coupon Code HAPPYFIFTH at checkout) for just two more days. Get it while it’s on a discount! http://www.goalpublications.com/storefront.html
