Furry Writers' Guild Forum

Who left the door open...

Hello!

It’s so nice to see a good collection of authors talking about a lot of great topics here. I believe I was registered on the guild forums quite some time ago, so it’s about time I got involved a little more again.

By way of introduction, I’ve been writing in the fandom since the late '90s. I write a little bit of everything, with a preference towards contemporary slice-of-life and dramatic works. I’ve had several works published with furry publishers, and currently have submissions I’m working towards for three anthologies this fall (busy fox!).

I’m also involved heavily with VancouFur as Conbook Lead and writing track organizer for 2015, and also as the president of the Board of Directors.

Looking forward to connecting with more writers!

Hi and welcome!

(Also - I’m suspecting you probably meet the membership criteria, so if you do and you’re interested in being a guild member, just drop me a line to furwritersguild (at) gmail.com with publication details.)

Hi there! I’m always up for a slice of furry life.

Welcome to the forums!

What name do you write under?

I write under this name. =) I’ve had stories in Heat #7 and the Taboo anthology, along with one in Anthrozine back when that was a thing.

Pleasure to have you here!

Nice to make your acquaintance

Holla! Haha, just kidding. A pleasure to meet you.

Hey! Never got to properly introduce myself and chat at RainFurrest, but it was great being on a panel with you!

Thanks! That was a fun panel. I have a bad habit of blending in to the background in crowds, but I’m getting better at being more chatty.

I partly Blame Ocean and myself for that. We were having too much fun playing off each other. I still need that book reference you noted to read sometime.

Well… to add to the ‘to read’ book pile and make forlorn eyes at, anyways.

Hello and welcome!

Curious, are you planning on submitting to the RF anthology this year?

Ooh, yes! It’s by Allan Cole and Chris Bunch, generally referred to as the Sten series. 8 novels, starting with “Sten” and carrying on from there. Kind of hard to find retail-wise these days but I see quite a few kicking around used book shops. It’s a very interesting approach to military SF and utopian/dystopian futures. Highly recommended.

I’m giving it some thought, yes - I did finish third in the writing comp, so I’ll probably look at doing something. =)

I’d definitely support that. I really liked your piece.

Splendid! I hope we haven’t frightened you off yet X3
