On researching animals?

Where do yall go to research animals for your animals, besides Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is actually a pretty good place to start, since the references are linked at the bottom and you can usually find some interesting resources there. You might also look at https://www.sciencedaily.com/ and search for your particular animal interest. You can read about a lot of recent studies about the animal. If you find one that intrigues you, at the bottom of the page you’ll find the attribution where it says something like “materials were provided by” and then the institution that issued the press release. The word materials is almost always linked to the original press release, which often has pictures and may have a little more detail than the ScienceDaily version.

Depends on what kind of research your looking for. If you are wanting a more realistic approach to details, things like National Geographic amd discovery are the big sources. The Smithsonian has a lot of free resources as well.

Thank you for the reply!

I’m wanting to lean more towards the fantastical side of things, so I was thinking of researching how animals are depicted in folklore/mythology
