Terribly sorry, but now i’ve got you attention anyway, i guess i might as well introduce myself
Really, i wrote a reply to a post almost immediately after joining the forum, and thought it would perhaps make sense to introduce myself. So, i am leinir. For my day job, i produce various bits of software as a sponsored member of the KDE community (previously through a company called ko, now through blue systems), and one of those things is a word processor - the same one i use to do all my writing in, Calligra Gemini. https://dot.kde.org/2014/11/21/calligra-gemini-added-calligra-suite has a bit of stuff about it, if you feel like having a peek at that bit.
Now, what’s perhaps of greater interest to an authors’ forum than another piece of writing software is that i am also a producer of written fiction. I hesitate to say author or writer, but perhaps that does apply, as i do tend to write at least a little each night-before-a-weekday, so it is kind of a habit these days. The point is, simply, that i have not had anything published (by a third party), and really, haven’t pushed for that much. If you feel like having a read at what i have published, there are a few old pieces on my personal website at http://leinir.dk/leinir/index.php?globalID=content/en/Writings though my newer writing (such as it is) is available here:
- Chapters 1 and 2 of In Which We Explore Our Future (working title of a novel currently undergoing editing): http://www.furaffinity.net/view/10732298/
- Geiko Eien Ni - Eternally Geisha (a short story, inspired by the picture my profile picture is a snippet from): https://www.weasyl.com/submission/750981/geiko-eien-ni-eternally-geisha
Other than that, well, i live in Hinckley, where i share a house with my wonderful husband Makenshi, and cook food which people seem to enjoy most of the time
p.s.: No, i really am not like that, just thought i would do something else than just adding another “hello” subject to the list
