Furry Writers' Guild Forum

Delurking

After dropping in from time to time and lurking in the forums, I figured I should take the next step and say “hello”…especially after jumping into another thread elsewhere.

I’ve been active in the furry fandom since the 90’s, going to cons and creating accounts all over the place, though it’s gotten harder to get time off lately. I’ve been writing very short little pieces that I’ve shared for free; more recently I’ve become interested in trying to get something larger together.

Whether that will be more furry fiction or a math textbook is still up in the air. I suppose I could try to do both at the same time.

Arizona has been my home for the longest stretch of my life, so now it’s just “home” (though I’m still very fond of Nebraska). I can suck the fun out of everything. Everything. I mean it. That has a small amount to do with my choice of an online character. :>

I think you should do a furry math textbook. Welcome!

Welcome to the forums!

Furry mathbook…would have made learning a lot more fun for me in Highschool, that’s for sure.

Hello you! ^.^ One of us probably owes the other of us an email. Not sure who at this point.

Did you bring the beer?

Thanks for the welcome!

As far as a furry math book goes…I’m reminded of educational TV shows (The Letter People and most of School House Rock come to mind). Having an illustrative mascot is one thing…could you really work in something furry? That’ll take some effort.

We started sampling it last night…had a birthday party for a good friend of mine. I thought it was a bit on the sweet side but lots of other people liked it.

I’ll say you, so I can let myself off of the hook. :>
