Question: if short stories are 10,000 words or less and novellas are anything over that, then how would we nominate stories in Hot Dish, which is a short story anthology dedicated to shorts over 10k. Is anything over 10k still a short story if an anthology classifies it that way?

All the stories in Hot Dish are considered novellas for the purpose of the Cóyotls. In other words, it doesn’t matter what the publisher calls it – you go by whatever Cóyotls category corresponds to that word count.

Thanks for clarifying that:)
