Gods With Fur

Thank you for the information

According to Wikipedia, the pre-Christian Mayas had a storm god, Yopaat, depicted as a human with one leg as a snake. Is that anthropomorphic? “Yopaat was held responsible for especially violent lightning storms, that were believed to cause earthquakes.” Yopaat was separate from Chaac, the Mayan rain god. “Chaac is usually depicted with a human body showing reptilian or amphibian scales, and with a non-human head evincing fangs and a long, pendulous nose.

Any story ideas here? There is less than a month left to submit stories for “Gods With Fur”.

I snagged a tribe of writing werewolves today and challenged them to a duel.

Fred will hopefully see an increase of Lupine/Lunar Divinity… I just hope its good and diverse.

I’m researching tiger deities right now, knowing full well that I may not complete a story in time. But it’s still fun.

When I was little, I had a book about prehistoric life which included a picture of cavemen worshipping a god they had created from a bear skull. The image made a big impression on me, and I was looking up bear gods today for a poem I’m working on. Might help somebody else with a story:

Hi Fred! I have a quick query. I’m currently finalising my submission, however it’s currently at 13,000 words. Is this length acceptable, or would you prefer it shortened?

20,000 words is the higher limit, so you have no worries.

I know, I was just meaning in terms of how the anthology is shaping up. =)

There is currently room for a 13,000 word submission. In fact, I’ll take all submissions that I like until the deadline, and then discuss with FurPlanet how many they’ll accept. “The Furry Future” had a word limit of 120,000 words, then FurPlanet stretched it to 150,000 words, and finally accepted all 193,000 words that we liked. So don’t worry about word limits; worry about whether I’ll like it enough.

Cool, thanks for getting back to me. I’m currently waiting to hear back from beta readers, then I’ll be making the last couple of edits and sending off.

I’m currently reading a CreateSpace novel notable for its lack of commas, that’s called to mind the most frequent editing revisions I’m making in the submittals for “Gods With Fur”; adding more commas. I don’t care what current writing classes teach; writers need to use more commas to set off clauses, and to make it clearer who’s speaking.

Mine is drafted and going through the editing stage. Hopefully it will be enjoyed and fit in at 8,000 words! I adore the theme - it allowed enough flexibility to make it our own.

There are just two weeks left to submit stories for Gods With Fur. Revisions can be made during May if a story needs some fixing, but stories need to be submitted by May 1st.

Submitted!
And breathes! xD

Good luck, hon.

Yes! Televassi’s “Fenrir’s Saga” has been received, and is good enough to be accepted as one of the finalists for Gods With Fur.

Only ten more days to submit a story to Gods With Fur.

I’m typing as well as I can!
which isn’t the same as the fastest I can type
